Discounts off MSRP
Any additional discounts over and above the standard 8% on MSRP I am getting without much negotiation?
I have been getting that discount from almost every dealer but keep on wondering if I should push for more....what is the most that people have gotten?
Whats funny is the 2013 left overs have a 8-10% discount as well - one would think that the dealers will be more aggressive with the left overs, now that the 2015 models are coming down the line...
I am considering the 2014 C2 and the C4S

If you can get a nicely-specced C4S at 8% off, you might want to jump on it. April is when many dealers start to give good discounts. You may get a little more off if you wait a while, but then you will have to choose from a far less attractive pool. If dealers are offering 8% off, the top MY2014 991s will move (and are likely already moving).

The local dealer in Austin is offering 2013 Carrera's at 12k off sticker (with price tags in the 120 range), so there is a dealer offering 10% right up front. Of course, they've left room for negotiation, but at least you know 10% is fairly easy to get so that sets a firm line in the sand for 2013s. I guess that doesn't help with your 2014 question though, but it is a bit of a data point.

BMWs are a different game, they sell them at considerable discount so that no old models are left in the delareship once the year passes by (as in no 2013s left past 12/31/13). I once found a 2007 M6 in 2008 and it was still new and it had a 30K discount over the MSRP of $100K - i didnt buy it but just saying..

Just out of curiosity, I check the NADA pricing for the Trade-In of a clean used 2012 991 and a used 2013 991 (entering the same options and 10k miles on both). The 2013 trade-in was $97k and the 2012 was $89k.
This seems to show that just one year model of age drops the value $8k (in this case almost 8%) if nothing else is different. Assuming this holds up for a 2013/2014 comparison a year from now, this implies that is you bought otherwise identical cars, the 2013 would be 8% less than the 2014.
It would thus seem to make sense that new the 2013 should cost at least 8% less than the 2014. That also seems compatible with them offering around 8% off 2014s since the 2015s are coming soon. That works well with keeperofbeasts post estimating 15-18% off for a 2013.

I guess that's a good observation. It was for an S with PDK if that helps some.
When I was shopping the last couple of times it was hard to find good valuations for 911s out of either KBB or NADA, so as an absolute number that may be wonky. Percentage difference from year to year probably isn't too far off though.

Here is a great 2013 Agate c4s at 17k off sticker...I bet you could get it for even less.

As for a 13 leftover my feeling is that if a dealership has a car that long they are stuck witrh it and own it . They would have to sell it for 8 grand under invoice to be a great deal and they will never do it !!
It also begs the question of why . A car sits on a lot collecting dust for 2 years must have been looked at by hundreds of people who passed it up . Usually when something looks too good to be true .. it isn't
