The car is two model years old . Original markup on the car is 11 percent . A few times we've seen guys buy much older leftover only to face some type of issue . if the car is a 13 it means that for a long time a lot of folks saw it and said "no thanks" .

I'd be a bit nervous .

I cannot imagine why you would be nervous except if you have to explain to someone why you paid too much for a car. Performance is a good dealership with a good relationship with the local PCA.

Seems like a heck of a deal!

Kinda surprising this car has been hanging around so long though. Is the warranty clock ticking on this? Sometimes dealers do this to increase their allocation for the next model year. My car had 3 months used on the MFG warranty. No miles so no biggie and they gave me a sweet deal on an extended 7/60K MFG warranty.

The dealer is quoting me 13.5% off MSRP on a '13, but I think there is room to go to 18%

Sounds like a good deal. I just did a quick search I am surprised there are so many 2013's still around. Should be able to get a pretty good deal on one seeing as the 14's will start receiving discounts too.

lol should have added "if they weren't already." Either way that's good news for those interested in any of the remaining 13s! I am starting to consider a 991 myself, arg.

Actually not a great deal. This is 20% off but on a 13.

The same dealer is also offering 20% off on a 14 C2S Coupe. That is a great deal.

On the 13 I would want 25% off at least. It's a 2 year old car.

More than 18. The second you leave its a two year old used car. Wouldn't touch it.

Bought a C4 Cab this past September. MSRP 122.5 Sale price 108k If you are willing to do your homework and shop multiple dealers, there's always room to negotiate on these cars. This is my 4th 911 and I've never paid anywhere near sticker.

The way I see it, these cars depreciate 15% year 1, another 10% year 2, then less depreciation in later years before they find their floor. This is true with most high end cars if you look at used prices. I'm not saying that as a negative...it just comes with the territory of this type of purchase. I love mine and prefer to buy new, but the first 2 years is a 20-25% drop.

My 2 cents. We aren't buying these cars for the brilliance of the financial transaction!

It depends. If they have the car in stock, you are looking at 12%+. If you are ordering it to spec, then 5% is reasonable.

Maybe in Cali, but if you order from back east in the middle of winter I have gotten close to 8-10% offered for a ordered to spec car. Remember, a ordered car never even sits on the lot. In some respects a ordered car is cheaper for the dealer than a car that is on their lot and has to be insured, etc.
