I've been in the market for a 991 4S and have finally found the perfect car at the right price. The problem is that it has the Sport Design package (ok, so it's not that perfect!). My questions: is it possible to easily remove the ducktail and install the stock spoiler? Is a 991 with ducktail pre-wired for the stock spoiler? Will this require adding an addition button to be installed on the console to control the stock spoiler? Also, I'm relatively new to the 991 world, is the ducktail a desirable option -- would I be able to easily swap this for a stock spoiler with another member?

Also, the car is a '13 platinum silver 4S.

It's not a particularly complicated install for either way.

I agree, the open trunk is not a desirable look, but I never have to see it. I do have to see the ducktail...no hiding that!

 

I just bought the sport design kit 2 weeks ago. Bad timing!

 

To switch from the standard spoiler to the duck entailed more than just swapping them out. A lot of electronic stuff too.

The same will go for duck to standard too!

No, mine is aqua blue but personally I would want to paint to match my car anyway rather than hope for a match based on factory paint.
