C2 vs C2S performance & sound
Hello experienced 6 speeders,
I am close to purchasing my first 911, very excited but afraid of making the wrong decision. I have been planning a 2014 C2 but with the 2015's out there are some good deals so I am considering a C2S. I am looking for opinions between C2 including sport chrono, sport exhaust, & pwr steering plus versus a C2S with premium plus. These are the main differences as far as options go and both have S wheels. The price point looks to be about 3K more for the "S" so not much.
Is going with the "S" a no brainer, because the SC & PSE on the C2 are pulling me towards the base car. Just looking for opinions I realize personal preferences vary.
Thanks

Power steering plus is a waste. Nothing lost there.
You can always add an exhaust or even the PSE for 3K afterwards.
Go with the S hands down no questions asked.
HP and brakes alone seal the deal. You'll regret not getting the S. Plus resale is much better on the S.
I'd rather buy a lower priced S than a C2 that's optioned out in S territory. You'll lose more on the C2 come resale.

Thanks Guys,
That is what I thought. I will be leasing so resale is not a factor. I also won't be adding exhaust afterwards due to the lease. Is the HP & Brakes the main differences, what else is standard on the C2S vs a C2? The MSRP's are 104K vs 115K so the price gap is significantly closed on the C2S. THE C2S does not have sport chrono.

You have to go with the S. I had a c2 and it was a great car. As stg said I'd rather have a c2s with less options than a highly optioned c2. I would however continue to look for a c2s with sports chrono.

Both cars I am considering are PDK. The C2 has sports chrono and the C2S does not. If I find a higher optioned C2S it will begin to exceed my budget so I am looking for opinions between C2 w/SC & PSE vs C2S without sports chrono.
Thanks

PSE is a must on both cars, I didnt give it much credit until I get it in my 4S, its fantastic!
Performance wise, the S is noticeable faster off the line, the stronger low end torque makes the driving experience more enjoyable to me.
Sound wise, IMO the base car sounds better, it really screams as it pulls above 5000rpms, the S sound is more throatier.
I had both and I would go with the S any day of the week. Get the PSE later, you wont regret it.
Dont compromise, Sport chrono unleashes the full capabilities of PDK, without it, it will be neutered.

Every month or so a guy like yourself pops up on here asking questions like this and getting advice. Getting advice is fine, and I think everyone has given good comments. If you go drive both of these cars and look at the options, your mind will be made up pretty quick.

At the end of the day if you spent 110-115K on a preowned 991 with under 5K mikes, you'd get one that stickers for around 125-130K
A 130K build would kick *** and have any options one could want.
That's what I would do. Screw the lease.
Don't like that option, revert to my previous post.
