991.2 C2S - 530hp / 520 lb ft

I wouldn't be surprised if turbos were added and displacement shrunk. And I wouldn't be surprised if power/torque went up by 10% over the current models, but no way they would take the C2S up to current "Turbo" power levels, especially at a mid-cycle facelift.

Ya freakin right. A 130hp boost in a refresh? They'll save that for the next generation.
But I agree next generation will focus on hp since this last one was mainly focused on the chassis.
And I doubt the S will ever have more hp than the GT3. And 530 will be hard to beat it staying NA.

Maybe there will be no 991.2 and they will go straight for the next generation?
Isnīt it weird that the GTS model is already out? In the 997 generation it was the last last model.
Best regards.

Finally, Porsche is addressing the HP race with the competition. I know Porsche is not about 0-60 acceleration but if a M3 outruns a 911 or 911s, it is just not right. M3 should not even be comparing to a 911, maybe a cayman. That's what M5 is supposed to compete with ( at a performance level).
I think this is great news.

I agree, they will downsize at the same time they turbocharge. I can see 480 hp for an S, something that will whip a corvette.

None of this comes free. You will see a reduced redline, worse sound, some lag.
A 2008 C2S had 355 hp. Went to 385 in 2009. I think you will see something on the order of 460-480 hp.

Either way, I'm glad I leased and will have options. Timing will be a bit off. Lease up in June 2015.
Imagine it really is +/- 500 HP for the facelift available in the fall 2015. If I was a pre-owned buyer in 2 years not sure I would consider the 991.1 with a measly 400HP and 325 ft lb.

If true, the 530hp 991.2 would be $200k out the door in the USA and $350-400k in euro countries. The way this country is headed (USA) the buyer market would be much smaller than the current 991 CS buyers IMO.
But.......if it does happen I going to buy the rear badges from Suncoast for $500 and just tell everybody my car has 530hp, will do 0-60 in under 3 seconds and I have a giant..........

No way that big jump in power. Porsche always does mild HP jumps and keeps the number UNDER the previous current models special editions. I would guess a 15 to 20 hp gain to keep it behind the power kit and GTS and 50th anniversary cars. Imo

I know the boxster may go to a 4 cylinder boxer by 2017. I can't believe that the 911 will.
