07/2014 Carrera 4 with 10000 km.
Very annoying rattles in both doors and in the back of the cabin. Rattle in dashboard already has been fixed. Altough the car is a fantastic ride, there's an overall disappointment.
Had a 2005 Cayman and 2009 997 c4 with no rattles.

My one year old 2014 911/50 with approx 6,000 miles would not allow to open the fuel door at a gas station. The emergency release cable did not function either. Luckily I was local and was able to get to the dealer before running out of gas. They replaced the locking mechanism. Said they have had to replace a few of these in the 991.

al these cars rattle. If yours doesn't, its the smooth roads.
Kudos to porsche to making the greatest profit per car in the whole automotive industry.
I've learned my lesson though, never again.

So, reading through these threads, I get nervous. Going to the dealer on Saturday to order a 911. Getting the basics. Getting testimonies about the dealership, concerns about breaking in the car, spending this $$$ and not getting the quality is disconcerting. Thoughts, please. Anything else I need to do? Thx.

My 1988 911 Cabriolet does not rattle. Daily driver for almost 10 years (up until last summer) with 140,000 miles.
2008 Cayman no rattle and no maintenance issues with 50,000+ miles. A tie rod replaced under warranty in the first few months.
2014 991 - No rattles with glass sunroof, fuel door fixed under warranty. Rock solid at 145 mph on the Autobahn.

2013 C2s 23K miles, Daily Driver.
Dealer has been helping me sort the dash rattles.
Right side finally got fixed, after several trips (entire dash removed also).
Going in for insturment cluster rattle next week.
I may chase the rear compartment rattles myself, as they are not that bad (after last dealer attempt) and I like taking things apart.
Hdawg, So what were the symptoms of your Strut Top and Strut issues?
Others may have those symptoms too and just not recognize the issue.
I give your dealer points for identifying and fixing those issues.
I bet dealers are upset with the factory over rattle issues too, except it has to be over 50% of their warranty service revenue.

Top mount issues were identified by a tapping/knocking noise coming from fromt of car ...sounded like top of dash area. Dealer told me on european cars , passenger side front top mount was common issue. He said he had changed many but porsche didnt really know why since the part has not been modified but simply changing it fixes the issue. He said they think its a result of the way the car is suspended in the production process..seems odd .

Most of the squeeks/rattles have now been fixed.
The most annoying one ended up not being the dashboard, but under the bonnet (hood). The door cards don't vibrate as much now, so that's good.
I've still got a squeek on the passenger seat that is evident when it's in a certain position. If I move the seat forwards on it's runners or back a bit, it rectifies it.
