Finally Pulled the Trigger

Finally Pulled the Trigger
Long story to get to this point - 3 years total time in the overall decision making process. First Porsche and couldn't be happier, this car is amazing. I've always been a car guy starting from a WRB STi (Which I later raced competitively in RallyAmerica and USRC as well as local Hill Climbing events) to an E90 (M3 Sedan) then marriage, then baby (goodbye M3) and ... another baby. Which parked me with my current mode of transportation an A7 (Love this car as a commuter).
After testing pretty much anything that popped into my mind of "wanting", M4, R8, GTR and a C2S. I landed with a 2014 Rhodium Silver C2S with the pasted options below.
My C2S was a lot car at, what I believe, a very fair discount. I was on the fence about the color but after spending the last 4 days with the car it has really grown on me. Hints of blue to pure silver given the light, give this color a nice range. What is not often mentioned is the flake the paint has under hard sunlight. I did not have a lot of "must needs" other than SportExhaust, PDK and PASM. All the other stuff was just fluff for me. The Sport Techno wheels have really grown on me and who doesn't like a 305 rear tire? I have managed to squeeze some car seats in the back for my 2.5 yr old and 1 yr old which really rounds out the use for the car.
So far I've only clocked a little over 200 miles and I'm anxiously waiting to really stretch her legs. The car has a really lovely feel to it along with all the right sounds from that SE ! I live in a small town and I am fairly young so I was really on the fence to pull the trigger. The last few brisk fall mornings up here in New England with the car has really pushed aside any of those feelings for sure.
The only picture I have for now is from the dealer lot. I hope to get some proper pics this weekend. Just your everyday 991

Congratulations! If you think you're loving your C2S now, just wait. It gets even better! Also, consider swapping out the front amber markers for "clear" ones. Those would look absolutely fantastic with the silver!

I have the same SportTechno wheels, and like you, they've really grown on me. In fact, I now prefer them over any other style. I like that I can easily get inside the wheel for cleaning. The only thing I found is that the finish seems to "pit" easily. I don't know if they are getting chipped with little stones/salt from the road surface, or if perhaps the finish on the wheels is somehow deficient. Let me know if you find little pits on your wheels after you've driven her around a few thousand miles.
This is my second 911, and I can't imagine driving anything else going forward. IMO, nothing else compares in terms of looks and performance. I guess that's what happens when you keep improving on a product for 50 years.
