Seems to me that the sensors would not be there so you wouldn't get those readings, the engine mounts won't be there so you wouldn't get that benefit and when you go to sell it the fact that it is not SC would be made clear and may be a negative. If it were me I would just treat it like I'm doing with my mistake in not getting PSE- suck it up and don't make the same mistake next time.

Uhhh.... that's a not a 991 in the install pics..... Did you post those to show example of how the SC connects to the PCM? Or is there a question? As others pointed out below, installing true SC is more than just the clock and panel, at least for the 991.

the pics are of a Cayenne install. they sell this for many vehicles. Obviously this does not add anything but a working chrono gauge to the car. Seems a lot to pay for to add a clock but thats why I posted this to get other owners opinions.
