wreck111 thanks for the research. Didn't see those specials, and you're right they are low. I'm going to stop by tomorrow after work just to confirm that was what they quoted me and I'm not hearing things.

I had an oil change done at 300 miles only because when I bought my car it had a production date of one year prior to my delivery. Better safe. The oil change was part of the deal. Now with 1600 miles zero usage. I will change once a year regardless of miles. My guess 4000 or under.
Brake fluid every 3 year's. I don't track the car and it stays in a heated and conditioned garage.

I was speaking with the GM of my dealership the other day. He asked me what I would do to get more people in. One of the things I said was
Low price fluid changed. Get them first. By for $380 I will go elsewhere. Sorry I was able to pay cash for everything I own by not being a sucker. At $380 for a half hour labor is nuts. $150-200 is fair.

Do you use 4 to keep the car level?

Chuck, actually raising the rear allows slightly more oil to drain since the drain plug is towards the front of the pan.

Time is just as detrimental on a vehicle as mileage so definitely keep up with oil changes with time intervals. If you do need any help with DIY stuff you can cruise around our tech forums and post questions there.
