Adding Sports Chrono Program

Hello, all

I just picked up a 15 c2, and I love it. It does not have the sports chrono option unfortunately. I am wondering if the dealer can program in the software and add the sport plus button so I can have the better throttle response and shift points?

Thanks
Sahil

Well, I'm sorry for you, but happy that you actually asked the dealer rather than trusting Internet responses.

So, this 2012 E63 in your sig, is that a Mercedes E63 or a BMW E63 (M6)? I'm guessing the latter, based on your handle name. How do you like it? I drove one a few years ago and loved it, but a half hour in one is not the same as owning it.

Its a Mercedes E63 5.5L bi turbo, has 550hp and 590tq which is insane but I love driving the 911, shifts are so fast and the car is just plain more fun to drive and looks great. The benz will be leaving my garage soon.

it can be done, but not by the dealer. you need to find someone that has a PIWIS (porsche computer). then you need a vin number of a car just like yours with the same options except it had sport plus. use than vin to order a new controller. install it and get it re-flashed....

it has been done

I am not sure the sport chrono add on will be worth the effort.
It may shave off a bit of time on the track if you do that, but for street driving I am not sure if you will get bang for your buck...

Part of the Sport Chrono package is Dynamic Engine Mounts.

I know it does, I am not interested in getting that added on because it will be very expsensive

Wondering if the Sport Chrono reflash would throw an error code if it doesn't detect the D.E.M.s.
