Agree. At the end of the day the 991 is still one of the best cars ever made. The passion we all feel towards 911s is real and is very worth talking about, not shutting down the critique. It's just that there is an elephant in the room... And it's the 991. We should talk about it and hopefully Porsche is listening, otherwise if this "bigger is better" trend continues, a couple generations from now our beloved 911 will be land yacht.

PS: I think it's great that the OP here is a 991 owner... The 997 threads have been on this topic for sometime so it's refreshing to see the 991 guys taking an objective look at their cars.

 

The 991 got bigger by necessity, but I feel it was well worth it as the handling and stability seem much improved over previous models.

What worries me is that when the Panamera was introduced, it was often referred to as the four door 911. Hopefully in the coming years the 911 won't be referred to as the two door Panamera.

 

^911 will always be a 911.

With a different angle...less so. I like the 991.

 

Interesting my 991 and my 993 cab weigh about the same and the 991 feels more nimble.

I wish the angle was better to show the difference between my '67 and '16 but they both shrink around you on the road. Ok, the '67 doesn't but it's already darn small.

A friend ordered an RS in that color, I've never actually seen it in person but I think in pictures it's right up there with Mexico blue as my favorite color.
