Introducing myself.
Hey everyone. After years of contemplating pulling the trigger I placed a down payment this evening on a new 991.
I've been driving BMWs and Audis for the last several years and they just never really did it for me so today was the day that i made it happen.
The cars nothing over the top, just a basic 991 white on black with manual transmission. Nicely optioned. I can honestly say I have never been this excited about any car ever.
Hopefully ill be taking delivery by late next week as the dealership is about 1000 miles away. Look forward to being part of the community.

Welcome, and congrats. I'll never forget the day my white 991 was delivered to the dealership. You're going to love the car, as it is quite a special machine.
Oh...and welcome to the 7MT club.

Congratulations and welcome! I came over to Porsche from BMW as well. Then, it was from an F01 7 Series to a P4S. Since then, it's been the P4S and a 981 Boxster S to the P4S and a 991 C4 to now, and a 991 GTS. Did I mention that these are some of the best cars in the world and best to drive if you are a car person. Enjoy yours!

No disagreement regarding the MT. My 981 Boxster S and 991 C4 were MT cars. The 991 GTS is PDK (as was the P4S) and, it's true, shifts are blindingly fast. Also, there is that extra feature of launch control with the PDK!

Lol. Yeah a special new Porsche with wings.
Cars coming from Ohio and I'm in Connecticut. Technically it will be in a truck and not touching the ground so I guess I'm correct in saying when it's on the ground
