918 "Hippy" car
Hi guys-
When I was picking up my recent 991 purchase from my local Minneapolis Porsche dealer they had an absolutely sick 918 getting a full Xpel wrap. This car is nuts. This car is one of one. The paint is not paint and decals. It's actually painted like this from the factory. This is based on the 1970 917 Longtail with a similar paint scheme they dubbed the "hippy" car. Unreal. The salesman wouldn't say exactly, but eluded to a near quarter million dollar paint job.
Thought you guys would like a shot. (Somehow I only got one picture)!

I love the blue, sans the green stripes. I assume the green is to pick up on the brake rotors, inside seat piping, etc. I just do not like green, except on my money.

He's not calling you an a-hole, he's wondering what a-hole ordered the Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine paint job.

Already had a thread on this car but my opinion has not changed.
What a way to destroy a beautiful piece of machinery. All these guys getting these painted and oh by the way paying a fortune just shows how folks have more money than sense.
U-G-L-Y you ain't got no alibi, you're uglyas the saying goes.

Not exactly my thing .... but impressive that someone wanted to pay tribute to a historical Porsche paint job ... gotta be weird to drive it on the street -- but that is probably not gonna happen all that much anyway.
