Which air intake is best for my 991S?

I have a 991S and I am going to be adding a few things to it. Trying to decide which air intake i should get. I should also let you know that I am pairing this with an Armytrix exhaust and the Cobb access port. I could use some input from owners who have an aftermarket air intake and I am curious on if they felt a difference in performance. Please let me know which one you chose and whether you like it. Thank you for your help.

I believe GT3RS uses same intake but BMC filters.
So I think upgrading your filter would be your next bet.

Fabspeeds makes good looking intake but not sure it'll be worth 850-900 especially you can't even see it after installation.

Ok been down this road before. In the nutshell, if you are going to be spending the majority of your driving very high up in the RPM range, you will gain some not allot of HP. BUT at the expense of losing some low end torque. Personally I would much rather have the low end torque on our cars but that has to be your decision. I do not think they are worth the money for the slight gains high up. Every company hypes their system and promises allot but in the real world off the track that's just what it is hype. Although they DO sound pretty cool.

+2 - maybe with the addition of an AEM dry-flow or BMC air filter.

Agreed. Save money and use it towards carbon fiber tid bits instead.

Hi, I just replaced my stock air filters with BMC (got them for 150$), it's a 1h diy job and you should do it when mounting your new exhaust (I have AWE).

After one week: I like the louder induction sound and a little bit more torque and better throttle response across the RPM band. However don't expect a dramatic change! If I had to do it again I will do for sure.

combatninja has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Best bang for your buck on upgrading a Carrera S? Easy, sell it and get a CPO GTS. Barring that, sell it and get a CPO X51 Powerkit-equipped Carrera S. A lot of guys that mess around trying to tune their cars would be better off just trading for the next higher model from the start.

I started with a GTS if I follow your logic I should have bought a GT3 RS to get the BMC air filters...

What about an IPD Plenum? I've heard good things. Why not combine that with BMC filters.

I did pretty much same thing when I was installing Fabspeed sport cats/headers.
Can't tell how much sound/power is from BMC but the point is, I wanted something in intake dept. but didn't want to spend 900 for C/F intake that may not have much gain (and can't even see). So I went with BMC filter that RS uses (this tells me, it's Porsche proven quality/gain).

Sbh991 is an unknown quantity at this point
As said in the thread, stick with stock air bag and perhaps BMC filers. I have them along with the IDP and super sport xpipe w/resonators. Car runs and sounds great. My Fabspeed competition air intake is new in the box on the garage shelf for past year and in fact Fabspeed pulled from their website due to lack of sales, so there you have it..good luck.
