Is PSE worth it or go aftermarket?

I'm having a hard time finding a c2s manual with PSE. should i get one without PSE and put an akropovic exhaust instead?

Go with Akropovic if you're cool with the price. I have PSE and am underwhelmed with it. I'll be upgrading to aftermarket soon.

The advantage of PSE is that, even if you do go aftermarket later, you have the switch built in to the car rather than having to use a separate fob to open and close the valves (Akra, like most other a/m systems, is switchable). It's a small point, but some prefer the more OE feel of the built-in switch.

PSE is worth every penny. For the life of me I'm not sure why this isn't standard...or why every 991 isn't ordered with it.

Depends upon your tolerance for noise and issues with the warranty. I only have a '10 4S which I bought with 7K miles on it and it did not have PSE. I had the dealer add it completely and am glad I did. I rather not have to explain about after-market anything when I go to sell the car or if I have repair issues involving the warranty.

It's no secret that a car with the 911's stature doesn't come from the factory with the sound that it deserves. The Akrapovic exhaust takes care of all that and with the added benefits of major performance gains.

Actually, if you have PSE and you go with an Akrapovič system on your 991 Carrera, the same PSE button that you have on your console you can use with your Akrapovič exhaust system! Quite convenient!

It depends on what you are trying to get out of the system and how much its worth to you. I just wanted some more volume and some pops, etc. and simply changing out the center muffler for an x-pipe did the trick.
