Considering a "P" car

Hello all! I'm new to the forum and trying to weight my options. I currently have an e93 m3 but strongly considering a 991 carrera s. What am I going to miss by giving up my M?. Also debating whether a 997 turbo would be a better option. 991 turbo is currently out of the budget. All opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I went from an M3 to a Cayman S and, now, to a 991s. I liked my M3, but you can't compare it to the 991... or the Cayman for that matter, just a different class of car.

Strike that, I miss the trunk

Went from anE92 to a 991 C4S. Different class and world of car. 997 Turbo would be a decent upgrade as well. Nothing you will miss about the M. Well....maybe the trunk space...I do agree with that but both the M3 and C4S were weekend warriors to me so never put anything in it other than golf clubs. Good luck with the search!

I had a Remus race exhaust on my E92 ZCP M3. I miss the sound (and redline) of that V-8....and nothing else. Especially not the weight.

That's exactly the progression I made. With the same conclusion!

You won't miss anything ...I gave up my M roadster 15 years ago for a 911...
Have had 4 -- 911's ... you don't need a turbo ---get a 2017 base 991.2!

Hmmm .. my last M was a '03 E39 M5 .. which I loved and missed. With that said - I went to a '07 Turbo and I have never regretted it .. but I do miss it .. it was different kind of animal ...

i was in the same boat.. torn between a 997 turbo and 991 c2s. i had a 996tt with the x50 package and to be honest, it felt porky.i had H&R coilers and did the rear wheel drive conversion and I still wasn't satisfied. i wanted something lighter so I went with a 991 c2s. no regrets. 991 c2s feels more nimble and it's fast enough for me. also, imo it's the better looking car.
