My White GTS gets more attention than my previous Porsches I've owned COMBINED. I drive the car only a couple times a week, and every time it's an event. I mean it's not a GT3 or a Turbo, but if it was I'm not sure it would get any more attention. It really doesn't matter to me but it's really just an observation. Yesterday at dusk, pulling up to a red light in the center lane, guy on the right of me says "I gotta say, you've got some will power driving that thing 45 mph in a 40 mph zone." Lady to my left at the same time is waving and giving thumbs up. Then the chick on my left and the guy on my right start talking, saying "that car is awesome!"
I'm sure this isn't what Ferry Porsche intended, but I find it humorous. The female business tycoons also love to give compliments, but mostly I get compliments from dudes. It's all in good fun.
The car is kinda like taking Heidi Klum or a Kardashian on a date. Everybody looks. Funny stuff.

I know how you feel OP. I'm a car guy and that's why i own my 911, but on the other hand, i'm not wealthy and the 911 feels very special to me (i can't afford a more expensive car) and sometimes i drive it to get attention particularly from the females. I'm 36 years old =P

 

I'm too busy entertaining my own self in mine to notice any attention I may be receiving. The 911 is a perfect driver's car with the GTS being more so!

 

Of all the porsche's I've owned I only get attention from guys. I don't mind owning a conversation piece of a car, but it's only guys with appreciation for nice cars.

 

Seriously? Out of all the cars i've owned, my 911 Turbo and Cayenne gets the most attention from the opposite sex.

 

My restored 1976 TR6 gets a lot of attention, especially from teens and 20s

I'm sorry you weren't able to sell your GTS. When we have our minds set on selling something we own, and aren't able to, it may become a source of resentment.

My GTS is identical to yours. And yes, a white GTS with a black sunroof/trim parts/wheels is truly a gorgeous machine. Especially at dawn and night, light colors such as white and yellow really stand out and accentuate the shape of the car. I've received many compliments.

I still would love a yellow GTS!

 

No resentment at all, I'm glad I kept it. I was getting tons of inquiries, but decided to keep her. And glad I did. She's a keeper.


I had thought about Carmine red or sapphire blue exterior, but the white stands out. Glad I chose a new color (for me).


The unique sound of it, combined with the Alcantara and carmine red stitching, make it very unique.
