993 Prices?
Hey guys,
I'm loving the 993s and just the other day saw a yellow (speed yellow?) one on the freeway, what a beauty! What is the market like for these cars? What's the upkeep like? Cheers! |

are you looking for a C2, C2S, C4S or a turbo? Cabriolet, Targa or Coupe?
prices can range from low $20K for a high mileage C2 coupe to $60K for a nice C4S with service records, and low miles. Turbos can be upwards of $70K or more for a Turbo S. NA cars are less expensive to upkeep than Turbos. I paid $31K for my 96 C2 coupe, upkeep consists of oil changes every 5K miles. Expenses mount up if/when you need to flush the SAI ports and/or need a top end or valve job. all that aside, I love my 993. |

Yea, they are all over the place depending on what you want, $20-$200k!
If they are taken care of, they are a low maintaince car & very reliable. There still pretty simple, & not hard to work on, the parts are in line with other German cars. It is cheaper to own then my Audi S4.

Why is the C4 more desirable?

They cost more, & made less of them. 1995 C4's cost less then 96-98 C4's, cuz the later ones are wide body. The AWD system is really cool, it feels like a RWD car, until the rear starts to slip, then the front takes over. The car is super hard to upset & loose control! Even 4 wheel drifts are in control. ![]() I got both a narrow body 95 C4 & the widebody 97 C4S, they are so different.

Do you see the Imola Yellow S4 next to my C4S? The 993 is about 1/4 the price to maintain!

Porsche There Is No Substitute
As I have had my fingers burned and a whole lot of other body parts I would just like to say, make sure that you get whichever Porsche you do buy get it checked out by a professional because believe you me to get these cars to perfect condition from accident damage can cost thousands. Other than that I have seen people wow at my car from a distance and I know this by me lip reading what they were saying (not to hard to work out them saying wow) and another guy almost crashing his car looking at mine driving on the motorway (Highway or Freeway)

Everyone will have their own reason for getting which ever model they want. I live in Southern California and have no need for AWD, nor did I want the added weight, however an added benefit for CA ownes of AWD cars is they can't be smogged on a dyno because the dynos are all 2WD.

993's are probably one of the most desireable 911's, therefore expensive.
If I was going to get another 911 I'd probably look into a 93 or 94. I like the body style and they are a lot of car for the money. |

I just picked a '95 993 C2 up for around 30k with 70k miles on it.
