993Cab goes from pedestrian to FIRE-BREATHING at TPCRacing

This beautiful Speed Yellow 993 Cabriolet was brought to us for some serious upgrades. First, the customer opted for a top end rebuild. This included a custom valve job performed by, TPCRacing President/Head Engineer/Rolex Grand Am Champion driver, Michael Levitas. The bottom end was inspected for any damage/wear. Now that the engine hase been refreshed, it is time to install our TPCRacing Supuercharger Kit. This kit is based upon the highly reliable and powerful Eaton Supercharger. Eaton is the same company that produces ALL of the Superchargers used in OEM applications such as GM, Jaguar, Mercedes, etc. On it's own the stock 993 is good for about 240whp. With the TPCRacing 993 Supercharger Kit installed, the power jump all the way up to 355whp(410bhp). That incredible jump in power is provided with only 5.5lbs of boost. To help control all this added thrust, this vehicle is also having a huge set of 993Turbo calipers and rotors installed. When it's finished our customer will have a seriously fast 993Cab.

Project Update:

The engine has been put back into the car. The TPCRacing Supercharger kit is just waiting for some wiring as well as a discharge manifold to lead to the liquid-to-air intercooler which will reside in the right side of the engine bay.

does cruise control still work? Also, I had heard that protomotive could tune the DME so that you don't need to use the UNIQ piggyback. Is this true?

This car is a '96 993C2 Cab with a 6-speed manual. We're finishing up the install today, and hope to have it on the dyno very soon.

Unfortunately the cruise control is sacrificed with the 993/964 Supercharger Kit. That is the only function lost. Although one could argue, with a supercharger installed, who wants to drive with cruise control anymore????

You should check with Protomotive about their abilities to tune the 993 ECU. I not sure of what they are capable of. However, the TPCRacing 993/964 Supercharger Kit has only been developed to work with our current UNIQ setup.

Hey guys, it looks like i forgot to post some pics of this install all finished. This is what our TPCRacing 993 Supercharger looks like completely installed. The owner will actually be returning to have the suspension upgraded.
