That sucks, but yes I know of a few people that have had that problem, and it kept happening over and over again.

I dont know if there is a stronger material but if there is I'd make sure I got it.

Yes, left side last summer about two months into my GT700 tuning. EVOMS sent their "upgraded" rod replacement. Has held since.

They are sending me an upgraded set tomorrow. Thing is I put those wastegates on last November, they say the new rods have been out for 4 months, so why didn't I get the updated wastegate rod when I bought mine if yours failed last summer. WTF?

I had the same question when mine failed last summer and they said they "upgraded" them when they developed the GT700 kit-which was already installed in my car when the (stock) rods failed....

Mine failed last week, my install was Aug/Sep 08, probably before the upgraded rods. Btw, mine was the right side.

My drivers side rod broke a few days ago. I'm going to see if I can get it welded back together tomorrow AM.

kind of curious- what symptoms did you guys have that lead you to look under the car at the wastegates? Less boost/ power?

sumptom

Symptom is 0.5bar boost...looks like limp mode but no checks,no codes...then I searched the car and found out that the right one was unbolted and did not close...The funny thing is that it happened during fine tuning of my boost controller under 1,2 full boost...so i thought I destroyed something on the car...
