dlm477 is an unknown quantity at this point
I have an upsolute chip and the car has been absolutley flawless. Pulls hard to 1.0 consistently in all gears. Granted I have only put about 7k miles on with the chip but have not had a single problem expect for a blown hose, which was a minor fix. Could not be happier the the chip.

This thread absolutely needs to die. I don't carry or support the Upsolute program in any way, however ANYONE with even the slightest mechanical knowledge of their twin knows there are simply way too many variables to blame it on the flash alone.

Was it the best choice for running more boost in your 60+K car?... probably not.
Could you ever prove without doubt that it is the sole cause of a catastrophic engine failure?... never.

Look at it this way, now you have an excuse to run a GT900 package.

I disagree.

We are all intelligent people and can deduce what is valid, convincing or legitimate and what is bull. Squashing every post that may have an unfavorable shadow over some product or tuner is worse than allowing a cars owners opinion or view as to what happen. Is this forum for car owners or tuners? Without both, we all lose.

Remember, they are your customers (or potential customers) and now see that you are interested in silencing them if anything goes wrong. Not a good position or stance to take. You should have come back with something like the following; “I am sorry to hear about your issue. Let me help you rectify this problem with a rebuild and upgrade”.

^^^ that post is retarded. This is a forum for intelligent dialogue, not the reckless hurling of misinformation. We all know Upsolute tunes are crap - it's been covered a zillion times here - however it's simply impossible to peg that for the reason for the burnt valve. I think Jeremy was spot on, as would anyone else who has spent any reasonable amount of time educating themselves about these cars.

This will be my last post on the subject, that is an extreme leap of logic to even infer that I am attempting to silence someone who has had a problem with a product that I didn't even supply. You have your stance on the subject and that's fine... but to imply what you have is completely off base. I've helped an uncountable number of 6speeder's figure out problems with not only my own products, but others as well and I'm extremely offended by your opinion that I am now, or have ever attempted to do otherwise. Had the OP posted something along the lines of "This is my problem, what do you think caused it?" Then my view on the thread would be completely different, but to jump straight to "Company 'X' blew up my engine... people told me so" is a completely different tone. Thats where my problem lies, not with the product or lack of support.

Thank you for the personal attack and chance to clarify Robert. Some of us make our living doing this and reputations are very important.
