I agree, I have been hard on them recently. But no one person can bring Vivid down, and I am just a nobody anyway, so I won't dent his business.

I usually always support the underdog, but there is something about his grey area marketing tactics and dishonesty and arrogance on a number of fronts that rubs me the wrong way....

I'm not going to continue beating the horse, I've made my opinion known, others will and are doing the same.

Nah, Some of us have pulled our heads out of our asses and realized he's no different than most of the other vendors, trying to make a buck and selling products... belittling him says volumes about who you are... and unfortunately I was in your shoes...Thanks for reminding me.

Who is Dan at VIVID??? He's a guy who, after I hammered him publically and called his products Rice garbage, he reached out to make things right on a deal gone bad... He went out of his way to set things straight with me without needing to... You want to tear him down and make your claims, fine, but I was in your shoes and will say it from the other side of the fence... Dan is an OK guy who tries to sell volume on parts that are very popular with the masses... If they aren't for you, fine... Don't buy them. But going out of your way to hammer him for his rather extensive product line won't do you any good, so long as he's trying to fix relationships with guys like me...

Who is dan at Vivid? He's a friend to me.

So is Kevin at UMW.

So is Robert at Lufteknic.

Do they all have strong opinions? Sure. Are they all "A" type personalities who are passionate about their products and these cars??? You bet... Do they walk on water? No...

Get over yourself and lets all move on...

Mike

I had a similar experience with Dan, initially gave me a crappy price on my suspension stuff, associated with his usual hard sell (which I hate, Dan), I passed. Later he ponied up a tremendous deal, unsolicited, barely made anything on it. Yes, my opinion of Dan changed for the better.

I appreciate Vivid Racing for taking the time to test this interesting product. And even more for having the honesty to post the negative result.

I think the bashing in unnecessary and uncalled for. As someone has said, "get over yourself and let's move on." PLEASE.

Yes who is Vivid Racing? In my experience: An incredible toy store with great products, great pricing, prompt shipping, and a very courteous owner.

I find this whole post rather amusing. This independent test of a product is being conducted by someone who publicly states "I am no tuning or dyno pro." Why would anyone expect to have professional, accurate and meaningful data to be uncovered and presented here when the person conducting the tests is stating that he is not a professional? From what I have read and what I have learned from PROFESSIONALS who do know what they are doing, dyno testing these cars is not easy and getting accurate data is very hard. I am sure that getting "data" can be done by anyone, as we have seen in this post, but getting data that has any validity, takes a professional that knows these cars and has the proper tools and equipment to monitor the car during the testing procedure. Seeing that there is a problem with the dyno results is easy, knowing the reasons why and understanding them is another story. Even if the dyno results were on the positive side, are they really positive and why were they positive? Without the proper tools, technical expertise and a full mechanical understanding as to WHY, this whole post is a waste of time being conducted by an novice.Mike G.

I am not a novice... What I am saying is I am no pro on what the IPD is suppose to do. Hence the test. I know how to correctly operate our machinery here. Thanks to those that have supported our endeavor to constantly add new flavor, information, products, pictures, enthusiasm to this community.

I appreciate that you appreciate my honesty. Not 1 product on my car do I build manufacturer, or design right now. So I am no different then you. I am putting parts on a car and showing the results of testing, posting pictures, and my opinions. Am I hyping a product, yes, did something go wrong, probably, will it be remedied, yes.
Dan if you started this post by stating that you are TESTING this product BEFORE carrying it as a for sale item, then you'd have serious credibility. Don't hype before there's anything worthwhile to hype -- you come off worse than unprofessional. Good luck to you.

Every one has their own opinion, I am not sure why Ohio Gt2 is being so hard on Dan if its a personalty conflict then I think its irrelevant but if he has a legitimate beef then it should be dealt with outside of the forums .My own personal experience with Dan has always been positive. With all the cars I have built in the past and including my current 3.8 L TT project have taught me that it never ever goes perfect, its the way how one handles the problem that counts more then the issue itself.Dan you know how it goes, you can never satisfy everyone no matter how far you stick your neck out. I think you had a big part in bringing the Porsche parts prices down to a realistic level and I thank you for it.
