Good question. I should have specified. This was 50% water 50% VP m1 methanol.
We would have seen nearly the same results with windshield wiper fluid. Most windshield wiper fluid is 30% meth or more.

Will this solve the heat issue you find inherent with the 20G wheels being used?

It would be a band-aid fix....but yes it absolutely would.

Would the gains be additional if race gas is used?

Great write-up Tony. Very cool.
I have a water-injection kit that came with my procharged small block Chevy and cannot wait to get that running!

Great data and documentation.
I'd like to see this on a 700 HP car.
A car with just a chip might not mean much. How much of a delta will you get on a high HP application.
I know that PorschePHD, ImagineAuto, built a very nice Aquamist system about three or four years back and then we never heard about it and nobody ever used it again. I'm not sure what the reasons were. I was ready to do this then.

The Aquamist pumps that were available a few years back weren't adequate for high horse power applications. This system set up and tuned properly on a high horsepower 996 would be fantastic!
For what its worth, in most cases a k16 at 1 bar will produce more heat then a k24/18g at 1 bar.....delta change would most likely be nearly the same or even more idel!

Nice job, Tony. I'm very glad to see someone finally apply this to P-cars.

 .
We've had a couple 996's running for a while, but no one has been able to leave their cars with us long enough for proper testing.
I personally will never own another force induction car without water injection. I actually have a kit on the way for my cayman.... Lets see what we can do on an NA car!
