Can anyone recommend a good traffic attorney in Seattle? I got caught in a speed trap last weekend, 61 in a 40, $206, and am very worried about my conservative insurance company and clean record.

I used John Eltringham back in 2006/2007 on a Reckless Driving ticket and was satisfied with the results (knocked down to a Negligent Driving Class 2 ticket/$250 fine). I tried calling him just recently about a speeding ticket I got on I-5, but he never returned my call. So I'm not sure if he's extremely busy or what. You can PM me if you want more specifics on his work for me.
Interestingly, Jeannie Mucklestone works in Medina, the small but affluent town where Bill Gates lives. I wonder if there's a connection with that, since Bill is a long time Porsche driver and enjoys his speed...

Thanks for the recommendations. I've heard a lot of good things about Mitch Greene speedinginseattle.com... he got complete dismissals for a friend of mine on both reckless driving and speeding tickets. He's also recommended on other car forums. His fee is only $300, and he refunds you $250 if he's not successful.

Though I don't have direct experience with Mitch Greene, I've also heard good things about him.
Good luck with your case!

Instead of starting a new thread, is anyone familiar with one on Long Island?? Riverhead town to be exact?
Sorry to threadjack, but did you get nailed right on the entrance to the LIE? (By the outlets and Splish Splash) I've been on the wrong end of that laser gun before. Good luck.

Yup, that is the place!! I've been out there a few times and they continue to leave a trooper on the eastbound side right when you pop over a hill and try to jockey over to get off of the highway. I was nabbed for 77 in a 55 and I was just accelerating around someone in the slow lane so that I could get off at the exit for the outlets. The guy just comes up, gives me a ticket and walks away. Not a word out of his mouth. Kinda rude if you ask me as I said "Have a nice day" to him and got nothing in return.
It was easy to get traffic attorney!! Just get by reference or from a good concern!! By the way, have you heard of MiNeeds.com? It really simplifies finding affordable attorneys. I used it to find them for my business. Essentially, after I described what I needed on this site, I received several competitive bids from local attorneys. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to call around and negotiate with each, and that they actually came to me.

It seems you're already set, but if you're still looking, and you have an attorney for other purposes, you can ask him to kindly put a call into the presiding judge and ask for a hypothetical referal, or have him flip through his bar directory.
