whats the approx cost to have the converted to RWD? and whats the main reason for this? Does the car have enough traction when RWD only? I love the AWD here in Florida, for you never know when the skies will open up and rain on us..

Differential itself is a bit over 3K, expect another 750-1500 for install and misc parts that you may need while inside the trans. It's also a good time to upgrade the syncros if yours are warn to motorsport units, but not necessary.

My friend was just telling me about someone doing a RWD conversion over at Rusnak...hes a service writter there and I was talking to him about maybe doing my car...glad to hear everyone that has it, enjoys it.

The tires spin in AWD mode also. Don't forget in AWD mode when you punch gears 90% of the weight shifts to the rear in 996TT so therefore not much different from RWD mode. Tires make the difference off the line. I think it is a personal choice.
