From a stand how would I do against the new GTR ???

Nissan GTR

Weight: 3800lbs
20" rims with 285 tires in the Rear
6 gears @ 7000rpm

996Choy is on a distinguished road
From a stand to what is the key I guess. But given a reasonable distance sadly I think the GTR will win against a K16/16g

I would think power wise they are close if not even. GTR shifts better/quicker, but is heavier, depending on driver. You have 19's but he has 20's. I think if you can drive, you have it...

Edwin's 16/16 car makes 490 whp. What is yours missing? I'll bet he could beat a GTR if he shifted properly.

I have raced a cobb ap tuned , mid pipes GTR with my k16/16g car from 60 to 130. I destroyed him...he looked like he was standing still after 100. Basically put 4-5 car lengths on him by the time i was on middle of 4th gear.

But from a dig...i will give it to the GTR. But you will catch up and pull on him eventually by 110 or so...

My car Dynoed 450 awhp and 540tq on a dynodynamics...about 480 or so on Mustang awd dyno. At that time all i had was the turbos no exhaust etc.

Wow, good seeing you post! You have been MIA lately.

It will be close, both cars driven every well will do 0-60 in almost identical times (3.5 ish) and 60+ it would be interesting.

Edwins car makes 490 rear wheel drive, 6 speed, on a dyno jet.
Ramones car was 420 all wheel drive, tip, on a mustang.

Very big differences if you are trying to directly compare 2 cars.

I think with a stock GTR, the modded turbo would eventually win. I think it would be very close up to 100 or so with the turbo taking control at some point after that. I would choose the race site carefully so you can take the race to high speeds if you need to.

BTW, I doubt the GTR will be using his launch control!!

I'll think that
0-60 GTR wins by about a car lengths
0-100 very close
0-130 K16/16 wins

Thats crazy that you raped a chipped GTR !
Is your car Tip or manual ? Tip has the advantage of brake boosting from a stand, but the disadvantage of slower shifting especially against a sequential manual.

I don't know Edwin's car, but mine is a tip. Tips have nearly 30% drive train loss and come stock producing significantly less power at the wheels. Most manual cars with 16K/16G are producing 480 hp, mine produces 420 hp.

Hey Tony, good to see you

Ya, been crazy busy lately. Whats the latest @ EPL ?
BTW heard you got married man. Congrats

Been trying to figure out what will take my 16G to the next level without the Meth/Water injection. I've already got exhaust and DVs.

A new intake perhaps ? intercooler upgrade ?
