No, OP specifically mentioned K16/16g, which is a hybrid.

thanks for the comment, yes that Impresario is amazing.

oh as for regular K16's It would be interesting to see how much difference there is between a K16 and K24. When you get your DV's maybe we can do something with Imolafem and yourself. I don't know that she has upgraded DV's but she does have a tune.

I'd be up for that. Order should be in within a week or so. So sometime this summer will be great.

gotcha. Yeah, I don't know about that. I would think a K24 would be faster, but it does have more lag. We'll can settle it with you and imola. My guess is you will pull on her at the top end by a bit in every gear. I don't think the difference will be great, but maybe 1-2 cars total.

I'm on stock K16, not the hybrid, and ran previous member Robert P with just flashed Turbo S car, stock K24's... and he pulled on me from 30 to 130 about 4 cars...I would imagine the hybrid turbos would definitely make up that difference and then some. Note that he was on MS109 though.. but if we would've gone to 160, he would've pulled even more...

info from real world on this forum shows different, so what do you base your info on
I base my info from running a forum member at a Track side by side who had EPLs 16/16G conversion. We both screwed up our 60's he actually came out ahead.... once i was set in 3rd gear my car pulled past and had a higher trap

Well does that mean the 16/16G car has no exhaust too? If so I have to disagree, I am pretty sure the bigger turbo with a flash will pull ahead the further and faster you go.

You must be new here. I don't make things up.

First vid is of a 996TT with stock K16's, intake, Fabspeed exhaust/200-cell cats and tune vs a X50 car with a EVOMS flash (vs a 600 rwhp Cobra).

Second vid is the same K16 car vs the same X50 car, but before the X50 car was flashed. It was bone stock. K16 is camera car in both vids.

yup, no aftermarket exhaust kills the K24 car, and I missed that part as well.

Not sure what you are talking about.

The original poster asked if a "flashed X50" would beat a "16/16G" car. He made no mention of an exhaust on the X50 car. I simply told him that I had experience against with a flashed X50 car (without an exhaust) and it was slower than my K16 car with exhaust, tune and intake. Thus, I am assuming that a car with the standard K16/16G package (whcih probably includes an exhaust) is faster still.

That's completely find if you disagree. I'm simply posting what I have personally experienced.

I drove both cars and veiwed dyno sheets of both, and ran both side by side.

In my opinion (which is how every line must start when talking on a forum) 16/16 sufficates up top, the power is mid range. K24s are bigger turbos, they shine up top.

In a race most of the time your RPMS are pretty high.

That is my reasoning for you. My experience for you. My opinion for you.

Everyone has thier opinions, hence why everyone has different setups. For my style of driving / running my car a 16/16G would do nothing for me.

There is big power available in these cars and its not made with small turbos.
