Turbo Upgrade

Sounds like your pretty happy with the turbo set up you chose, but whoever installed everything must be pretty talented!!!
all aside , I hope to see you at santana row or some other local events in the near future to see the progress of all of the tunes and you getting some seat time in your newly improved car, and it was a pleasure installing the EPL products..

Yeah once the sun goes down in the city the weather is pretty much ideal. Now I just gotta find me that nice flat stretch of road. I know of a great one for 0-60 or 0-100+, but 130 it might be a little short for a safe 130.

I have a couple people I work with. I will PM you since you can't PM me yet.

Hey Tony! That is great news! Let me know about the datalogging to get you what you need from my end for the reflash.

And don't work too much while on vacation dammit.

Whoa. Not sure if my little ole car is worthy to take a 10 second passenger for a ride. I have family in town from July 11-15 then we are road tripping to Disneyland for the nephews/nieces. Maybe we can hook up one of the first couple days you're here.... hopefully I have the high boost flash in by then.

Yes happy so far and there is still much power on the table. That is what is exciting.

Yeah those kids who installed my parts weren't half bad. All kidding aside, you and Wells did clean work and no leaks or issues so far. Thank you.

Also, I will point out to others that these 2 installers were very happy with the kit itself, its packaging and how easily it all went together. Very clean professional stuff.

I understand that, however, on TTboosts car you have 58 lbs injectors and those are 24/18g's. Your saying that the tial's have that much more flow potential than the 24/18g's that 20% more injector capacity is necessary. I am sure you are running 85% on mikes car, so what is so dramatically different in the two when you are basically limited by the stock fuel pump setup.

I'm gonna do my best. I have driven GT660 and GT700 cars here locally and I am gonna try to set up a race or three once I get all dialed in with my setup.

The Tials do flow that much more...

ok, if so, then they are definitely pushing the limits of the stock bottom end and there should be that much more lag. Again, you can't get fuel where there is none. 24/20g's flow more to, but on a stock fuel pump I doubt they will work much better than 18's.

I agree, sort of. I still don't believe anyone knows where the limit is on stock bottom ends. Personally, until I see a bunch of cars at the 600-650whp level start breaking, not convinced. I believe I have MAXXED out my fuel system. I will not try to make 1 more hp until I have upgraded my fuel system. I know there are 20G's out there that run awesome, but I don't believe they are way better than 18G's, just my opinion.

700+ fwhp will do that I guess!

Totally agree with Mike.

I don't understand where this "conventional wisdom" still comes from about 700hp limit for bottom end? Where are all these broken rods of 700+hp cars at? Everything I have seen has been result of bad gas, doing something stupid, etc.

I understand and appreciate being safe and protecting an expensive motor, but there seems to be plenty examples of safely tuned 700-800hp stock bottom end cars not blowing up, and being tuned by more than just EPL.

Nothing happened to mine and was well over 750BHP not to mention 700RWTQ only at 1.4bar.

Two factors to keep in mind ....

1. Ttboost's car can be run slightly leaner, due to the meth.

2. Most cars runing meth are being fueled up to 20% by the wi... This is how you add loads of octane to pump gas.

Both factors add ally of over head to his set up...

Congrats Dave - and I'm game. When you get your upgraded file and are ready, let's work out a time and location.

It'll be good run a comparison.
