After seeing Cossey's dyno and ridiculous torque curve with these turbos, I was sold. I had been set on k24/18g for months and when I was ready to pull the trigger, I saw these new and improved alpha turbos start coming out. That low end torque sold me.
Just got everything installed over the weekend (not me personally, as I have no skills!) and the conservative base tune flashed yesterday after Tony left for his 2 week vacation. Big thanks to Tony and Dave @ EPL for getting me taken care of in their hectic time! Love the remote flash option with the EPL flash loader program. Sweet.
Going from a EVOMS/GIAC stage 2 kit (on the car when I got it) everything is already much better: low end drivability, low end power (obviously!) and smooth idling. I didn't realize how choppy that GIAC tune really was at low speeds/RPM until driving with this tune the past 2 days. And with much bigger injectors now.
With only .9 to 1 bar max boost until I can datalog and upload the next flash when Tony gets back, I am already impressed with the new power in 1st and 2nd gears especially. Breaks the tires lose in those gears a little bit at only .9 bar. I am rubbing Toyo T1R 315s in back.
I can't wait to get the high boost flash done! It's gonna be a long 2 weeks.
I just got a Performance Box too and also plan to dyno this new setup at Stasis. And I am already setting myself up to do the meth kit sooner or later.
Does it ever stop?
Anyway, I am stoked to have some new power and will update with 60-130s, dyno #s, and maybe a 1/4 mile ET soon....
Cheers.

Can't wait to see what kind of times you run.
Make sure Mike gives you some of his "secret tips" on how to run a 60-130, he sure has done well himself!

Yeah, seeing as no one else with Alphas are posting any times...I'm curious too. I don't think the Alphas have a tremendous advantage 60-130 as you are starting at around 2500-3000rpm anyway, but I'm very sure they will perform.....if anyone can do it Davey can!!!!

I am thinking of going with this set up... would love to know performance #'s and costs

I had a 7.20s with my GT660 in cool weather which is on the list. Since I upgraded slightly to a GT700 I have not been able to better that time in the hot weather. Hopefully when the weather improves I can do better.

OK, didn't check the list...you're free to go...

Thanks. You will have to ask Tony for an exact price, but I will say they are not substantially more than the k24/18g turbos.

I agree Mike. After seeing the dyno and now driving a couple days, I think the advantage is 0-60 or stoplight to stoplight, which I can find in the city here.
Will be interesting to see 60-130 compared to the 24/18.

Yeah I might actually do that since I have a couple weeks til Tony gets back. I gotta put the Pbox together and figure that thing out. If the number is terrible, maybe I will just keep it to myself.

Not cheaper, but also not the same. These outflow yours by quite a bit I am told.

Well, my friend you finally pulled the trigger, congrats!! You will love those turbos, they are incredible for low end and mid range power. I am looking forward to see some crazy numbers. I am glad you finally made up your mind. Enjoy brother.
