What are the Pros and Cons of a high performance torque converter
Looking to by a TC wanted to know what the benifits and downfalls of having a higher stall.
Thanks.

A TC with a higher "stall" allows your engine to rev to a higher than normal RPM to get you into a better power range. Most engines torque start at around 2500-3000 rpm where a factory converter is usually in the 1500-1800 rpm area, not very desirable. There are other issues like power multiplication, but I'm not gonna even pretend I know what that is...

What I really want to know is how does the car feel driving it around town, I will probably only race once or twice a summer at the dragstrip but mostly highway pulls and daily driving.

You should notice NO difference just driving it around normal. When you smack it, it shouild be noticabely faster as you will in the powerband almost immediately.

They don't even advertise a stall rpm? or even a range?
At least with the higher stall convertor cars I have driven, you can see what the "flash rpm" is by powerbraking and seeing what the tach will rev to before the brakes won't hold it anymore. I don't see why this method doesn't apply here.
I am surprised you don't notice any difference in low end drivability, not even a little bit, Todd.... that's good if you don't I guess.

When I did the TC in my TT camaro, it has the stock 1800 stall. I put in a Precision 3200 stall. I noticed no difference in drivability. Cruising around part throttle at 1800, but when I hit it, it went right to 3200 and screwed...
