CEL codes p1411 and p0410, need a diagram/picture of secondary air inj. pump!
So,
The notorious "Secondary Air Injection" CEL came on the other day. The pump runs, so it should be one of the few remaining bits:
1) Electric change-over valve
2) Air change-over valve
3) Boost or line leak
4) Blockage in one of the lines/vacuum lines
I honestly don't think it is a blockage and from what I can see, nothing irregular with the vacuum lines, the car runs fine and has only 28,000 miles.
Does anyone have a picture of where 1) and 2) sit in the engine bay?
I have the detail diagram of the air injection system, but I can't tell where the pieces are in ralation to the engine parts, and I want to avoid taking half of the enigine bay appart if at all possible.
Thanks for help!

It's has been 3 for 3 on the (voltage supplied/mechanical) check valves but now would be a great time to change your DVs.
It's really straight forward but requires some mechanical abilities and tools.
Read this post https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post2333373 and if you have more questions PM me. Rolf

Guys,
thanks a bunch, exactly what I was looking for.
Rolf (?),
great help, and great guidance on lowering the engine - I keept thinking, there is no way I can get to all this in the back, and you are right, might as well replace both once in there.
I need to do my 30k in 1900 miles, so I may just wait and do it all at once!
Thanks again guys :-)

I just stumbled on this series of posts. This is exactly what I am looking for but for a 2000 911 (996) C2 Cab. I am looking for those same pdfs that show the vacuum routing. would you have .pdfs showing exactly the same info but for my non turbo car?
Thanks in advance
Tim
