I'm looking to put an XM radio in the car, and would like to mount it in the spot of the CD holders. Does anyone make a "blank" piece of plastic that fits perfectly into that opening, where I can cut a hole to fit the XM face? Thanks for any help.

(It's like I'm looking at my own interior.) I don't think I'll be tracking this car, so the gains of certain tweaks and monitoring won't do much for me. I'd rather trash a $5K shifter cart on a track, (been there), than an X50 with 5K miles on it. I'm going to get flamed here, but I have more fun with an open wheel kart than I do flogging my car around the track. There's something about doing 120mph, three inches off of the ground, with no seatbelt on, to really get the heart pumping. (I know I need a shrink, but I'm too busy doing self destructive things to go to one. )

Seth,
I actually couldn't agree with you any more. I love shifter karts. Nothing is a better driver training aid and workout than 15 laps in a shifter kart.

I think it was Schumacher's quote that "the closest thing to driving an F1 car is driving a kart, and they're about $2 million cheaper." If it's good enough for Schumi, ...
Seth - Did you get any response on where to find that plate, I am looking for the same thing. I just bought the XM Commanda satellite radio, that has a plate, but still leaves openings at each end once you remove the CD holder. Also, do you know once you remove the CD holder, what or how to install the XM radio, do you need another cubby box to put the XM into it??? - And do you know how to remove the CD box? -

to remove the cd holder just remove one of the trays (push in the plastic clips at the back) and then yank it out. I did some custom work to install my SRX I kept the top two trays and cut up some trim removed for CF:

I never did get a response. Basically, I would like a factory black plastic piece that is exactly like the carbon cd holder surround above. (Actually, the cd slot opening is a touch larger than I want.) As far as installing the XM, I'm going to use the auxilliary input on my Dension Gateway iPod adapter.
