So since the 2 ball washers above are bored let me give you a quick update!
The car is 99% done! i had to get a new 3" elbow as one had a cut in it so that set us back a few days because of the weekend. Then the axles are giving us an issue so that set us back as well. finally my new tires came in Toyo R888 those are on the rims and wouldn't you know it! Its done!!! on the floor ready for a night of breaking in the Turbos!!
but i cant lay into for 200 miles. and then i do another boost leak test, do a data log for an updated file and Frankenstein is ready to play!!

It's either the pilot license or diapers. I'll go with the latter

Let me guess, once you tightened the axles nuts up the wheels no longer turn?

Having installed and tested them I can tell you they are not a direct fit as you may have been led to believe, if you've got a lathe and a air grinder you can make the ones you had work.

We no we found that the boot was hitting the shock, but tell me about the issue you had?
We did have to grind the hell out of the hub to make it fit properly.
You are correct it is not a direct in and out, but it will work.

Hubs needed grinding to call hell, radius on the outer shaft was not correct, had to turn it on our lathe to prevent the bearing from binding when tightened. This solved the boot problem as well as the axle was able to travel freely.

Nice to hear you are on the road again and seems like Mark worked his Magic How long did it take your crew to put on the axles....my guess is about 4 hours of work?
