Congrats Todd, glad I could help you get the power down bud!
Peter- your car is a BEAST! Can't wait to see it on a good prep.
Funny thing is after driving the vette out there and back we all got home and were so bummed we had only ran low tens 4 times in a row. LOL Had to remember how fast that is for a full weight street car getting 30mpg highway.

Who has the full weight street vette that runs low tens ?

Lil Powell's Vette was getting 30-31mpg on the way home. He has driven the car to the track almost every time. It should be a mid 9sec full weight street driven Vette soon as he gets a new motor It has ran a 10.55 @ 128 (and a best of a 10.6 @ 132) on motor. That was on his old heads (it has picked up 50rwhp on motor alone with his new ones). He also still has a BABY cam in it for a 427 (244/244 @ .600") so when his cut outs are closed it sounds almost stock w/ a MILD chop. He still has a/c (that blows super cold), power steering, stereo, and all the amenities. The Vette has been a best of 147mph on a long progressive setup on the n2o. I hate to say it but you'll never see a Porsche do that.
His 10.55 @ 128 (letting out of it) pass. The car was driven there and back home on 93oct. This video was on the front page of the world renowned Motorsport Tech Inc. from Houston Texas. http://videos.skinnywhiteduderacing.com/newbest.wmv

PM me for a link to 996 shop manuals
1. As predicted, Sean pus(s)ed out of the race he accepted (shocking) and didn't show up...
2. Todd kissed the wall, good thing it was just a "kiss" with minor scuffs on the rear bumper.
3. I ran a 11.1@130 in my GTR and would have kicked Sean's ass. I ran a 7.8 60-130 and think the GTR has a 7.5 in her in cooler weather...
4. I lined up against Todd 2 times, lost both times (as predicted with a heavier less powerful car) but didn't get one clean run. I was doing 4 wheel drifts all over the track...by the time we ran it got too damn slick to put over 600 rwtq to the tires. Of course Todd ran a 10.70@133, a SWEET pass I must say!!!!! Congrats buddy...
5. Bob Helms ran a 3.97 60-130 in his TT Viper.
6. Had 20 participants, 92 spectators, was a good showing!
Peter
11.1 @130 is dam good. I guess since you were spinning them you did not have DR's? if so you think you could have dropped into the 10's with DR's? Very respectable trap speed for a 600 bhp 3800 lb car.

Keep in mind Bob's Supra has gone 3.93 (as verified by Scott)... The TT Viper will go mid 3's, if not quicker. He left 300-400 rwhp on the table...
As for the GTR, I was on bone stock wheels/tires at full weight. I think this car will go 10's using launch control as it sits. Given a 1.9 60' on my 11.1 pass, a 1.8 would get me a 10 second slip. All I need is some traction at the line...
Wow, what a wild ride. Turned out my new DR's had over 50lbs of air. Luckily the famous Zach and Powell bros were there to help. So, we drained over half the air out of each tire and hooked great after. I am lucky this wasn't WAYY worse. But I'm here to amuze y'all.
We had a great turnout as Peter said. I will post all of the times later today. In the meantime, enjoy my spin.
Todd, of note...the density altitude yesterday at Lonestar was 2090 ft above sea level, using the DA correction your car ran a 10.60@134.... my GTR would have been a 11.05@131
