It is much stiffer than usual. The clutch pedal is much like a stock gt3 one...it gives you the ability to feel every little bit of the interaction...much better for the driver. Worse if you are in bumper to bumper traffic.
For the high HP crowd, it might prevent stalling with the better clutches....there are solutions to avoid this too...with stock.
I got it for feel and to avoid endless accumulator and slave repairs.....and the cost/pain of them.
It is natural to me now and a stock one feels mushy. I actually hate driving even M3 and M5 ones now..this is so much better.

I heard it's a lot stiffer than normal, is it true?
Oh, yea! No comparison. The stock clutch pedal goes down like nothing - the assist-delete takes some real force, but the feel on engagement is so positive and direct that you can finely modulate the clutch at will, which in turn insures a perfect launch every time, whether it's a normal take-off or a drag launch. For a non enthusiat owner that uses the car mainly for commuting and some weekend drives, it may not be the right choice, but for an enthusiast that loves to drive the car for the thrill, it's a huge improvement.

excuse the noobness, but is this a part, or a procedure? Do tell! I find the stock TT clutch pedal feel to be a bit mushy. The stock clutch in the gt2 feels better to me.

I have a UMW clutch kit with a UMW LWFW (I think it is a 964RS part).
It feels like stock per multiple other gurus (and me). I get a LOT more feel with the evoms kit.

When I first had mine installed, I was a little concerned with it's "springy-ness". After driving it a couple of weeks, I felt it had become MUCH more compliant... until I drove a friends X50 - I almost put the clutch pedal through the floor boards. I couldn't drive a stock clutch anymore! Your calf muscle will quickly adapt to the new force.

Nice one Kevin and I noticed everytime I come in you are logged off, what's up with that? I heard it's a lot stiffer than normal, is it true?
I'm hiding from you... just been very busy last month and i dont have much time these days. Besides the car was out of action with the clutch upgrade so 6speed gets put on the back burner. Stiff? Not as stiff as the ceramic 15" disc in my truck...if that helps. It is getting better every day and it has only been three days.

Jag,you guys are out of my league with these big clutches.... I can only squirrel so much money away from the wife.
Kevin
Trust me that last thing I wanted to do was shell out that much $$$ for a clutch, but I have no option at this point with the power level I have chosen. The Tilton is the only clutch that will hold 900rwtq+.
I would much rather use the money to do the big heads.
