I just got my car back from my tech. He was upgrading the clutch, but I decided to do the slave conversion while it was in there. I was OK with the last setup with full hydraulic assist and only stalled a couple of times. To be honest, I figured this was a waste of money, but the one thing I am accomplished in is...drum roll... wasting money on this car! It is actually a worthwhile upgrade. Very nice feel and modulation. I dont have a steep driveway but I can get the car over the incline from the street and in the garage with clutch alone, no accelerator input. The pedal is stiff, hard to sugarcoat that but all in all, money well spent.

+1...I love mine. I don't even notice it now....save no problems at starting to roll.
Hope all is well!

But, a beach is really nice too....and to eventually have Tom Kerr instruct me at Sebring at an HPDE: priceless.

Nice. I started a thread on this for the 997. Still debating whether it's worth it since I haven't done any power mods (yet). The OEM power assist clutch is just pretty tough to get used to.

You will love the non-assisted clutch. Not a week goes by that I don't make note to myself what a fantastic feeling clutch my car has now compared to the OEM assisted style. And it's been almost 3 years. I appreciate it every day.
Mark,
Best of luck in your new venture!

I'm with you KPG... after driving the RS (which feels much like yours) and having some "feel" I prefer any TT to have it Makes some of the grippier race style clutches much easier to engage etc...
PS Well done Marksi and best of luck.
