I have heard the new cross over pipes make more power than straight pipes?? Does any one have any data to confirm or dismiss this claim?

just a guess with the straight pipe, off the line street driving would be less responsive but displacement is reasonably sized, so might not make a big difference. Not as loud as NA but still reasonably loud, enough for a cop to look twice and render the stock audio useless.

Hi Have a set of Fabspeed Racing CATS and muffler bypass pipes on my GT2. It is loud at anything more than 20% throttle, as in conversations are difficult above that point, but at idle it is very quiet. My car is a DD.
...
It definitely beats listening to the girlfriend yabber on about why some brand I have never heard of is better than all the other competing brands.

Interesting you guys running them without issues make me want an afternoon project, I was thinking of only removing the mufflers and keeping the cats (we have lame emissions testing here) Get some tubing and making my own zoomies.

I run straight pipes with cats every winter and for each TX Mile run. Its a little loud at start up but once the car is warmed up its ok. I use the car for a DD.
