Would I be able to remove the fcon vpro I am using in my gs300 (twin turbo vvti 2jzgte) and use it in my 996tt?

I'm curious about the torque curve.
Most of the modded TT's using 18g's and the new Alpha 28's are making 500+torque at 3500rpm or lower, which is considerably earlier than this setup.
Granted your turbos may have greater top end capability, but is there any way to ramp torque in earlier?
For the street, where most drive their cars, an earlier torque curve would be an advantage.
Otherwise, nice results, and looking forward to seeing the boost cranked up.

If I put straight pipes on it(which I do have), or at least a free flowing exhaust, I think I can make another 20-30. I also believe I can make another 20-30 with upgraded intercoolers. Mine are stock. This was to showcase only the turbo system which I have been testing for about 6 months now.

Let's recap.... the car has the following

Boost Logic Bolt On Turbo System
Stock engine(upper and lower, or lefter and righter)
1000cc Injectors(tba)
Standalone
stock ECU
Stock intercoolers
Stock Exhaust(2nd cats removed)
Stock Fuel pump
Stock Fuel Lines

And here is the dyno on 109.... nothing spectacular as I don't want to push the car too hard

Don't look at the AF as it wasn't hooked up to the car.

The V Pro is one of the (IMO....incredible resolution) best stand alones out there....why is it being used as a piggyback???

The FCON ECU unit itself would be the same but the major expense is contained in the custom harness needed to install the unit.

Kinda true, let me clarify.

The VPro is being used only as a piggyback as it pertains to the drive by wire, traction control, and other emissions related hardware. It has 100% control over all of the engine parameters as they pertain to ignition timing and fueling. The stock ecu controls 0% of this now. This allows me the feature of having an emissions station plug into the OBD port and get all of the feedback that they need. I can also still troubleshoot car related issues via the OBD port. So it is a win-win situation. I have also gone 100% speed density(eliminating the MAF altogether), just to prove it could be done

With some minor tweaking internally, yes. THe majority of the goings on happens in the adapter harness itself.

Justin

And how much would this adaptor harness run?

there is no set pricing as of yet, but I am pretty sure it will be an entire package as there is alot of work that has to go into it to keep the stock ecu happy. It will also have to come with a base map that is a few hundred hours in the making

as of right now, this is an "in house" install only

Justin

Hey, Justin! It's Isaac from El Paso. Damn, you guys are making me want to get back into a 996TT. Just wondering how much power you think is possible on the 91 octane piss we get out West.

Hey Isaac!

I would say if you want to use the WM combination, that 575-600whp is still very doable, even out there. If you have intercoolers, and a free flowing exhaust, well over 600 is achievable.

Although I despise alky injection as a tuning crutch(and refuse to tune "against" it, It does alot in hot climates and where questionable quality fuel is available.

Talk to you soon.... btw, what's your latest project?

Boost Logic has always been a truly stand up shop in the Supra world, and it's awesome to hear that they are expanding into the world of Porsches (and GTRs). I'd wish them luck but know they won't need it once people start experiencing their great service and products. Well done!
