YOU have to go to Porsche dealer and have them remove the air bag failure notice and your airbags will no longer work. The GT3 seats don't have the sensors needed for the airbags.

I've had this problem for awhile now, had my indy check code{same one as you}, he reset it a few different times and it is still coming back. Please post here after going to the dealer and let me know how they resolved this.

huhhhh...you're kidding right? The sensors aren't in the seats. To access the airbag control unit you remove the center console. The failure needs to be cleared by durametric, PIWIS or PST2...if the cables are connected correctly the air bag still works. OPs problem either because the battery was not disconnected when he removed the seat, or something to do with the belt tensioner.

Where in the seats are the said sensors you guys speak of? We did a seat for sushi swap in Giggalos car and I don't remember any airbag lights coming on.

It has to do with turning the ignition "on" before the seat is fully wired properly. I forget the details, but when I installed my GT3 seats, I did it with the battery disconnected and did not start the car until it was wired per the instructions I had at the time, which addressed the air bag light. I have not had the light come on...

Do you think disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes would cure the problem?

No, I don't believe it will. I was told if I did trigger the light, it would have to be turned off by the dealer or a shop with the proper tool, which is more specialized than a regular OBD2 code reader/clearer.

There are three ways to clear the airbag code: Durametric, PST2 or PIWIS....bedebedebethatsallfolks.

My tech used the Durametric and the PST2. No luck.
