HRE wheel question....
Mike did you not send them due to their high prices? That's my guess.... or are you worried about the heat scare they are talking about? (not saying it isn't a valid point)

I am planning on having mine repowdered locally and now wanna make sure this is gonna be okay.....

HRE's price to powdercoat is less than $150/whl, I would definitely say give 'em a call. If it's a multi-piece, there may be a small fee to inspect and disassemble/reassemble, but who better to do that than the people that made the wheel in the first place.

Already talked to them directly... price was much higher than that and that implied my wheels are in perfect working condition. I will be having them done locally. There are a few good local options I have.

Yeah, it's not a small fee. I bought some HRE's used and wanted to powder coat the spokes. To be fair, you get your wheels back from HRE "like new" as I'm told, but $1500 is a bit much. It's up to you if you wanna take a chance and have someone locally do it. There are plenty of pictures here of cracked wheels. Not sure if it's from powdercoating or not...not taking a chance though.

This is what scares me too about fixing and refinishing my wheels...
