Well I must say it has been a interesting learning experience along with
an incredible amount of fun over the past 4.5 years of ownership.
Today my family and I watched the "infamous" Midnight Blue Porsche
roll down the driveway and out of the neighborhood for the last time .
Two gentleman ( guys, I must say) are headed to our Nation's
Capitol with the car. The gentleman that purchased it is not a 6speeder
but probably will become one, and the Co-driver is "Gunther" on 6speed.
Myself (as a passenger) and the new owner took it out in the rain today
and did one high boost pass on a new section of "Canadian Highway" at saw speeds of 15X MPH+ before we realized it .
I believe the new owner is going to have as much or more fun with the car as I did and that is what it is all about.
I will make one final comment in regards to one great
Tuner, Protomotive. For one particular reason. Dependability !!!
I only had (2) issues happen in 15,000 miles of agressive driving;
1) Greddy Boost Controller went dead--just plain died:
I called Todd, he overnighted me a new one and gave me the settings so that I could plug it in and go have fun. EASY !
2) I had (1) boost leak when the custom intake blew off from the throttle
body and S-351 put it back on for me, re-tightened it and it never happened again.
That's it, that is all I have had to respond to, Period.
This 996 Turbo "platform" is just now realizing its full potential and is truly
the world's most affordable "SUPER CAR".
As for what's next...Job first, then...
964 Turbo for my wife and
997 GT3 or 997 Turbo for me !
Unfortunately, it may take awhile.

[quote=PAULIEWALNUTS;2565674]OK now will you please use the Volvo forum. This forum is for important info for the 996 Turbo & more importantly the GT2's.

Hey, Sloss (S-351), and Carver have both lied to me and told me they
like my new Volvo, A perfect car for a WASP like me
Marty, I am happy & sad at the same time for you.
It just seems like last week we met, and you received your car from Protomotive. Good luck in your search for your next project.

Woodster, your car was gorgeous. When I saw it at C&C I could not stop staring. I wish you luck in the future with your job and hope to see you in another car you love soon.
Marty,
You have had many Porsche Turbos (I beleive you have had 1 of each except a 997TT) and I am sure you will have many more. The blue car is great, the new owner is a very lucky dude.
Marty, good luck with your search. I guess you felt that you had to get a new un-modded car so you could keep Todd busy. Hope you are as happy with the new one as the one you just sold.
