The GT-R is harder to drift than a 997 TT or 997 GT3, therefore if you are trying to drift, the GT-R will consequently get a faster lap. Normal apexing and driving not included.

I kinda view this like you see in the last 20 seconds of a NBA finals game- refs don't call stuff that would get called earlier- and a player that doesn't rise to the challenge is left saying 'wait a minute, he fouled me' and his competitor is drinking champagne.
