Pretty cool Martin. Good luck.
Any pics of the compressor side or your wheel?

These turbo's spool amazingly quick, it's almost too much. You breath on the throttle and it's an instant rush of power. I'm going to take the car for spin right now to check a few things.

Martin,
Great power for a k16 car good luck at the mile. I would be up for some friendly pulls on Elgin Ohare EXPWY. Let me know.

Well apparently 650 ft-lbs is a little too much for that clutch, is slips at peak torque in 3rd-6th gear. It just spins the tires in 1st through 2nd
Since we'll be at higher rpm's during the mile run I'm not worried about clutch slippage because we won't be at peak torque. I can't wait to get back and start upgrading the rest of the system and see what we can max these turbo's out at. From seat of the pant's I'm guessing it'll do low to mid 130's in the quarter mile.

BTW we're also doing some K24's with billet wheels but I won't be able to test those for another few weeks. I'm really interested to see how those will do.

Martin and AMS,
First off, congratulations to you for these great initial results with your new billet K16s. Would I be correct in assuming that the upgrade cost for sending in K16s to have them upgraded to these specs would be considerably less than to go to a K24/18 based setup? I must admit I don't know an awful lot about this stuff but am assuming that since yours are K16 based that it's a true upgrade for stock K16 turbos like mine.
Assuming it's not public information already, could you let me know what the charge is for this upgrade service? I'm also quite curious if the powerband changes much on the low end since your dyno graph looks terrific, with no low range penalties, but we all know that dyno graphs don't often have time as a measurable field so I've always learned to be leery of RPM based comparisons. I'd be looking to maintain the quick response that I enjoy out of my K16s but gain some additional midrange and top end...and your product seems to have that 'have your cake and eat it too' appeal to it. Thanks for taking any time to answer my questions by the way, and best wishes to you and your shop at the Texas Mile.
