Just getting good info and not perpetuating hearsay is a great value. (Don't get me going about the alleged "X50 stock exhausts".. )

I don't think Porsche made "s" models because they had bins of K24 turbos- I think they try to 'gussey up' the last year of a particular version to help support the price/market. Buyers are faced with a "well if I wait a few months I can get a car that will be, essentially not just a year newer- but a whole generation newer.

Recently found an 05 Turbo S coupe. with 13k miles on it. at a dealer in Florida.

What do you think its worth? Are asking 72, but if Convertible S's are going for much less can't imagine a coupe would command more.

Maybe 57?

low 60's, you can also check you local dealer and ask them to keep you posted when people trade in their cars, to keep you in mind. Plus you get a certified Porsche when you buy it from a dealer.

FWIW, the 8K to 20K mile coupe / Turbo S that I have seen (just my personal experience here) have ranged from $63K to $71K -- selling, not asking price. An absurdly high variance though -- I have literally had folks selling their Turbo S in the mid $80's laugh and hang up on me when I offer around $70K.

BTW, those with CPO, original MSRPs closer to $160K, or stock examples tend to be a bit higher. Again, just my 2 cents from looking for the past 4-5 months or so. Hope this helps...

What prices are being seen now on 05 turbos? I was offered a nice cab S example at 65k... thought it was a little high. Prices seemed to have firmed up and not dropped over the past 3 months.

What type of premium are the TURBO S worth over others? will they continue to be in demand in the future?

KICKINIT is infamous around these parts

If you've got 2 of them TURBO S we might make that work
I really like many things about the S but I'm not sold on the huge asking price difference. I would also take an 04 cab with the the x50 package.

I am not sure abut the real value of the Turbo S. I doubt they will ever be collectible, although given enough time almost anything is. The premium is pretty hefty.

Boomer7, interesting handle. I was at UMD at the same time as the original. He was great.

hi all, new member here. first post.

i just bought a black/black 2005 turbo s coupe tiptronic with 24k a few weeks back from a ford dealer in novato, ca. price was $59k. car had not moved since summer and was slated to be sent off to auction.

i purposely chose the tiptronic because i have a permanent injury to my left knee which makes working a clutch problematic - plus i am mostly in town traffic and now my wife can also enjoy the car. previously i had a manual 1998 bmw m3.

overall, i'm very happy with the purchase and glad i was able to move on it.

good times.

Things are only worth what people are willing to pay.

Sit down and put value on more then just the car. There is a value on everything in our life even if we don’t want to admit it. We pay in many more ways then just $.

If the car is what you want and you can get it then just do it! Then drive it and enjoy it!

I don't think they will command a lasting premium of any significance. Although if you keep the car perfectly stock and it is a garage queen, then you may get a bit more for such an example. There are always buyers that will pay for the prettiest and youngest virgin....

The "s" mods are pretty milquetoast compared to the mods one can obtain with reputable vendors.

IMHO

just to give you an idea about european price..

In Italy, I bought in May '09 my 996 TT cabrio, MY 2004, black, 50k Km (not miles!), manual, one owner, full options (plus K&N filter and hard-top), and I payed it 52k euro (about 73 k USD).

today 11k km plus and no problem...!
