Winter Tires

What are the best winter tires incl sizes please for the standard 18 inch TT wheels please, recommendations would be very welcome !

I saw 265 mount on factory 11" wheels. Looks like the tries will pop out any min. 275 will be better, but the best solution is use 10" wheels at rear! I know Damon has a package for that!

The one thing that is keeping me from buying the LM-60's that Damon recommends is that they are only "H" speed rated.

I've been looking for winters that work with the 11" rear wheels too. The only other option that I can find is the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D in 235/40/18 and 285/35/18. The kicker with these is that they are "W" speed rated which I believe is a rarity for a winter tire.

The 275 is rated for an 11" wheel. A 265 is not - don't do it. It will still be a bit pulled on compared to 295, but fits within spec.

H rating is 130mph. Are you going to be doing that in the winter?

I truly have reservations about 275's on 11 inch rears, tire bible says thats not highly recommended, yet 10' inch rears look emaciated even with 15 mm spacers Damon have lots of people done this, maybe the Dunlops are a better bet ?

Just to add to my previous post, all of the info I found - as well as the best prices - were found on Tirerack. Planning on buying from Tirerack when I pull the trigger.

Posted here to see if anyone is running this combination and can provide feedback on fit and dry/wet/winter performance of the Dunlops. I am currently leaning towards the Dunlops vs the Blizzak LM-60.

Interestingly for the Panamera Winter Tires, Porsche recommends 255/45/19 & 285/40/19 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 N0, I think that would work perfectly on my 996 TT Cargraphic 19's looking at the calculator, Damon, do you have a price on these ???

Would the fronts 255/45/19 likely rub on my lowered PSS9 996 TT, my 245/35/19's didn't but it was very close ?

Any comments on the recommended Panamera winter tires for the 19's on the 996 TT ?

Interestingly for the Panamera Winter Tires, Porsche recommends 255/45/19 & 285/40/19 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 N0 they would seem to match well
