Tiptronic has an advantage from the dig, but from 40 - 130 its even with a k24/18g no injectors 1 bar 6 speed car. Nothing special to talk about. Maybe the best mod for Tip ,...but then the fastest tip on this forum is k24/18g.

Paulie
I think its even faster now. Doesnt Chris (Green) have 24/18s for his 5.5x?

The fastest 18g is now Chris Green with a 5.5 on E85. The fastest 18g TIP car is vividracingtx (Todd) with a 6.3. I know the alpha 28 cars are fast, but not from 60-130. Haven't seen any numbers yet to prove that. Are their any alpha cars on the 60-130 list yet? The dyno numbers suggest they are a competitive turbo, but I have yet to see anyone driving with these turbos put up any respectable numbers yet. We're all waiting...

As per Todd K: Denso PK20pr-p8 for plugs and either Bosch or Beru coils. So far the plasmas have not shown enough performance advantages to justify their cost although I hear the new batch comming in may be better.

Damn, my tuner is a Hillbilly living on top of a mountain in Arkansas.

Maybe his ancestors were German?

However there is some merit to the claim that the Beru's work very well.

Beru's work well.

I used NGK BKR7E's in my car for a long time.

My new setup I am using BKR7-IX

I just did plugs (NGK) and coils (Beru's) and car runs mint. I change my plugs very 5000 miles.

The EVO guys also use the copper plugs on higher HP... they are colder and older technology... but great for what you are looking for.

Coil Packs are tricky... stuff like the HKS DLI II and Sun Auto Hyper are common in the import and tuner industry. Don't knock the JDM stuff because Japan Loves Porsches.

The tricky part with Coil-pack replacement ... they don't always add much HP, but they are more reliable over stock in higher HP cars. Basically... the lower the ohm resistance the better the performance.

Be sure you gap the plugs properly for this car. I burned through some Denso Iridium IK-20's in 1000 miles cause I didn't change the gap... Any my car is stock except for the EPL flash. So gap is very important with any plug you choose.
