Anyone know the diameters on the stock sway bars? Does the H&R anti-roll sway bars(front bar diameter 25mm and rear bar diameter 24mm) make much of a difference?

The previous owner had that setup PSS9s and a rear sway and it was pretty good. Keep in mind if you put on the front one on later you will probably have to get the car aligned again.

Sway bars have no effect on alignment.

Also I believe H/R offer a 26MM front bar as well... Last thing this car needs is MORE stifness in the front!
I'm running H/Rs and they're fine, but you'll want to run the front in full soft = outter most hole. Don't forget upgraded drop links. Stockers are JUNK!

if the front is so stiff, then do you really need an upgrade in the front?

No front bar needed, Ruf and others only use the rear bar, it works. I've yet to see somebody actually adjust the front bar on a turbo, last thing this car needs is more front stiffness.

An adjustable front bar allows you to make the front softer than stock, so it is useful. Being able to adjust both ends allows you to fine tune the balance. I started with just a rear bar, and eventually added the front one for this purpose.
You really need to have more negative camber on these cars to make them handle correctly. For that you need the GT3 lower control arms, front and rear. (Or, GT3 arms up front and adjustable upper dog-bones on top in the rear, which is what I have.) With those, it does help to be able to adjust both ends.
My car is now very neutral, and I got 9 track days from a set of Michelin PSC's. They have another couple of days in them, but I ran out of time for the season. When I first got the car, 3 days and I was down to the cords on the shoulders front and rear. The car handles a lot better too.
