Well....the Z06 left last night. The driver will be dropping it off down south, and then bringing my GT2 back with him. He should be back here by Tuesday.
Of course, I'm VERY excited about the GT2 finally getting here, but I have to admit I'll miss the Z06 a little. I kid you not; one of my friends actually called me the night before last to see if it was okay for him to swing by, just to see the Z06 off! Who knows, I may one day pick up another one to compliment the GT2.
I didn't even realize you were selling the Z Scott, what made you want out of the Z? Any problems with it?

Dez,
No problems with it. It just had a completely different feel compared the Porsche that I never really got used to. I really enjoy how effortlesly and smoothly the P-cars perform, and well...every time I would either drive or get a ride in my bro Peter's Proto car, I would miss owning a Porsche immensely.
Oops! Andrew, Ben is right! I had half used r888's on my car at vir/summit, slipping and sliding all around the track in the upper 90 degree weather, best time I could clock was a 2:12.... Switched to a set of r6's with 3 heat cycles and managed to click off my best time ever of 2:04, with consistent 2:06's, night and day! Usually my toyos were always good down to the cords, but I must have heat cycled them out at Monticello the weekend before!
Then I corded my r6's at the thunderbolt event we were both at lol, I need a tire sponsor! R6's IMO are way too twitchy on the street, Toyo is a much better street tire and boy do they hook well!
the r888's didnt hook up too well when i drove it on the street....
Scott, congrats on the new car...im sure it will be a blast for you to be back in a pcar again...

Thanks, Martin. Considering the size and location of my intercooler piping, I'll probably need to stick with 305/30/19 R888s to prevent rubbing. Thanks for the info, though.
No prob, you'll be good with those as well, they measure out at over 315!! If you want and for anyone else, I have a hookup on 275/305/335 r888's with 80-90% life left for cheap, like 250 a pair but only 18's. Let me know and I'll give you his contact info!

Problem fixed.
interesting comparison. Funny thing is that I want to get a ZO6 in addition to my p-car. By far the two most iconic sports cars ever are the vette and the 911. owning both is owning a piece of history of the two longest lived sports cars ever made.

I'm with you. I think owning a Late model 911 and a late model Z06 at the same time makes for a very well-rounded garage.

I agree. Hopefully I'll get some seat time in the GT2 before the snow flies.
