David? A bit of help here....This is not really true is it? If it is, I will opt for the Evoms GT800 kit for the same price.

If it was a "MASSIVE" boost leak, why was it so hard to find?

like the nose on my face, it was to dam obvious. I was looking for something hidden. Funny thing is it came from KPG in his quest to help me out, and I never thought about having size issues.

I did almost choke when I called up looking for a new set of tips though.

I hope not to be ready for an engine build for sometime. But that is a very fair price. And I am in full agreement that at those power levels an engine build is warranted.

Mike, I am going to do a full pressure test of the entire engine from intake all the way to exhaust. I don't want anything amiss when I turn up the boost. Have you done that yet?

I did a boost leak test days before the Mile. I lowered the engine and removed the intake yesterday and looked for loose hoses and the like. I checked all the IC hoses and turbo inlet and outlet hoses that I could get to without removing the bumper? I didn't check the IC hose connection behind the rear bumper. I'm sure it's good, but I guess I will have to do another boost leak check before I do anything else.

When I started my build 20 years ago, I went with internals before my car ended up at Evoms...It's what I wanted ....If I wanted to be the fastest I would got 35..(top Dog).

It's not an Evoms thing...If you want to run big power you need at least rods, Evoms, Proto, BBI, ETC.....IMO
I agree when you talk about BIG power... but I think many of us are discussing MEDIUM-big power here... like 650-750whp on stock rods... which many are pushing right now... we just have to watch and see how they last!
