This is the lift in the home I used to live in. <sigh> When you go looking for a lift talk to folks that have shops around your home. You might be surprised at what you can find! This lift was $500

It's FAR from ideal with the little speedbump in the middle but it worked
great - still does actually. What's left of my Supra is on it right now

A shop near my home was getting rid of it. They had upgraded some of their lifts, used this one for storage, and were looking to get rid of it. Score!! Doing it over I'd spend a little more and go new but if you're on a budget why not?
DO get a two post unless storage is your primary thing. DO make sure you can power it, some use industrial power and it's a hassle to convert - wood shop owners know this pain. Make sure your concrete can handle the loads. Get an OFFSET lift so you have more room for the doors. Pad the uprights with foam carpet padding! Make sure you have room above to lift - with the hood up! Make sure the garage door can go up, with the car up, with the hood up - put car on forwards and backwards when checking this. Make sure the lift goes high enough, mine was just low enough to put a crick in my neck... I could go on and on but after you've had a lift awhile you know all of the things you wish you had gotten lol

I WILL have another lift if I don't get this house back, that maxjack actually looks interesting although a little low.
P.S. Skip the RaceDeck...
P.P.S. Note that's a standard garage door. The rails were extended WAY upwards and the spring moved. I could have a car on either way with the hood up and it would not hit. An opener would've been a good idea though as it was a little heavy to pull up. You don't have to use a roll up door to get clearance...
